MRL Global began in 2004 initially as a software company under the name MRL Technologies Pty Ltd. In 2008, MRL Logistics registered its business in the pursuit of providing a total logistics and supply chain solution in Australia and beyond. 

Following the purchase of Sampson Transport in 2017 and almost two decades since its humble beginnings, MRL Logistics and Sampson Express are now a part of a unified brand, MRL Global.

Your Next Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will work closely with other developers to strategise for the planning, design and execution of ongoing work. MRL Global uses PHP, as well as ExtJS, Angular, REST APIs and MS SQL as part of our technology stack. 

Some day to day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Rewriting the back-end of our enterprise legacy applications
• Collaborating with CTO and Executive Management Team, including Product Managers and Delivery Leads
• Delivering back-end changes to our systems in support of our digital cloud-based platform upgrade

What You'll Bring to the Team

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science discipline or significant professional experience and a demonstrated understanding of relevant systems and frameworks.

To thrive in this role, you will have at least five years of experience with writing software (preferably as a senior dev), and a thorough understanding of Microsoft SQL and MS relational databases. Critical to your success at MRL Global will also be the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks when faced with competing deadlines and priorities. 

Other requirements for this role include:

• Experience working with PHP and web server architectures
• An understanding of building and consuming REST API
• The ability to work with Angular, Typescript, CSS and HTML5
